VERTICAL SUMP PUMPS
Type VASA G
The VASA G line of sump pumps is designed specifically for abrasive slurries and features a robust design with ease of maintenance in mind.
AVAILABLE WET END MATERIALS
HIGH CHROME – Alloyed cast iron with very good wear capabilities when pumping course materials
NATURAL RUBBER – Designed for long life when solids smaller than 6mm are present
316SS + SPECIAL ALLOYS – When corrosion resistance is key, 316SS wetted materials can be supplied as well as CD4MCu, Alloy 20, and others
ACID-PROOF – The VASA G pumps can also be supplied with wetted components covered with natural rubber or other elastomers
AVAILABLE DESIGN FEATURES
TYPE O – Open style impeller for better solids handling
TYPE W – Vortex flow impeller for clog-less pumping of long fibrous or coarse solids
TYPE WFR – Fully recessed vortex impeller specifically designed for carbon transfer
TYPE C – Closed impeller for higher heads and efficiencies
TYPE A – Semi-open impeller with slurry agitator mounted to an extended shaft to prevent settling of material TYPE S – Pump casing with spray holes to agitate settled solids
Type STGVA
The ST line of pumps consists of tough, general purpose slurry pumps particularly known for their induced flow impellers
AVAILABLE WET END MATERIALS
CAST IRON
HIGH CHROME – Alloyed cast iron with very good wear capabilities when pumping course materials
316SS + SPECIAL ALLOYS – When corrosion resistance is key, 316SS wetted materials can be supplied as well as CD4MCu, Alloy 20, and others
DESIGN FEATURES
- Heavy duty, large cantilevered shaft reduces deflection and provides stable mechanical operation
- Simple impeller clearance adjustment from the top of the pump
- Cast iron bearing housing is piloted in the upper frame to assure perfect alignment
- Oversized grease lubricated roller bearings are designed to provide up to 60,000 hours of trouble free operation
- Grease-purged labyrinth and double V-Ring seals effectively eliminate lower bearing contamination
- Rigid lower frame minimizes pedestal deflection
- No submerged bearing or stuffing box provides virtually maintenance-free operation
Vertical Tank Pumps
Type SPV
The SPV line of tank pumps is designed specifically for abrasive slurries and features a robust design with ease of maintenance in mind.

NATURAL RUBBER – Designed for long life when solids smaller than 6mm are present
316SS + SPECIAL ALLOYS – When corrosion resistance is key, 316SS wetted materials can be supplied as well as CD4MCu, Alloy 20, and others
IMPELLER DESIGN – Available in open design (for larger solids) or closed design (for higher efficiency)
DESIGN FEATURES
LAYOUT FLEXIBILITY – The pump, sump and motor are a self-contained unit supported on 4 legs. No alignment or special foundations needed
SMOOTH OPERATION – The open tank design with a vertical wet end inlet prevents air blocking by allowing entrained air to run up the shaft. These pumps can run dry
SIMPLIFIED MAINTENANCE – No nuts or bolts, the wear parts can be changed very quickly by removing the 2 wedges that secure the beam supporting the pump casing
CANTILEVER DESIGN – No submerged bearings, stuffing box or shaft seals. This design ensures minimum maintenance and eliminates any requirement for water flushing
VERTICAL FROTH PUMPS
Type SPV-C
The SPV-C line of froth pumps is designed to increase the pumpability of frothy slurry.
HOW IT WORKS
The Conical shape of the SPV-C tank is designed to increase the pumpability of frothy suspensions. The principal of operation is partly similar to that of cyclone separation. Air is separated from the slurry in a vortex created by the impeller rotation and the tangential inlet to the pump’s conical sump. This results in a more efficient pumping at higher capacities and smoother operation.
